The Power of Positive Psychology

This workshop introduces the key tenets of Positive Psychology and the power behind positive emotions. Research has shown that overall well-being permeates all aspects of leadership. People who experience positive emotional states receive benefits helpful to being an effective leader. These individuals are more creative, able to show improved negotiation skills and outcomes, able to display more flexible thinking and problem-solving, able to think more clearly, and are able to handle more complex information. This workshop takes a holistic approach to help participants create strategies to increase their feelings of gratitude as leaders and to practice mindfulness.

About the Summer Leadership Training Series

We have four virtual trainings scheduled from 12 – 1 pm on Wednesdays beginning June 24th , July 8th , July 22nd and August 5th . University of Minnesota Extension Community Vitality will serve as our educator for the trainings. Training Topics included are: The Power of Positive Psychology, The Dynamics of Change, Public Participation in a Virtual Space and Leading with Emotional Intelligence.

LINC Redwood County is committed to supporting and providing leadership training platforms to those who live, work, worship or have children attend a school in Redwood County. Given the current economic conditions in the County the LINC board of directors felt a responsibility to give back and offer trainings. LINC was also a recipient of a grant from the Morton Area Foundation allowing us to offer the trainings free of charge.
