Position Summary

The Program Coordinator is a contract position responsible for the successful planning, organization, and execution of the LINC Redwood County program year. This role supports the participants, volunteer day chairs, and the LINC Board of Directors to ensure the program runs smoothly, stays within budget, and delivers a high-quality leadership development experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participant & Day Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary contact for participants, day chairs, speakers, and site hosts.
    • Assist day chairs in developing monthly session agendas, providing guidance, past materials, and logistical support. 
    • Prepare all supplied participant materials (name tags, binders, handouts).
  • Session Facilitation:
    • Attend all nine monthly sessions (the second Tuesday of each month from September–May).
    • Support day chairs with logistics, transitions, time management, and participant engagement.
    • Communicate with participants ahead of each session with key information and expectations.
  • Administrative Management:
    • Monitor session expenses to ensure alignment with the program budget.
    • Purchase supplies and manage reimbursements as needed.
    • Submit timely invoices for contract payments and mileage.
    • Maintain accurate records of participants, program activities, and evaluations.
    • Draft and send thank-you notes to speakers, hosts, and sponsors.
  • Communications & Publicity:
    • Create and post session highlights on the LINC Redwood County Facebook page and assist with other communications as needed.
  • Board Engagement:
    • Attend monthly LINC Board of Directors meetings, year round, to report on program progress and receive input.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Outgoing with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading conversations, facilitating groups, and managing relationships with diverse community members.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliable self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Redwood County and its communities is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (or equivalent), email, and social media.

Requirements

  • Must provide own vehicle, vehicle insurance, computer, cell phone, and necessary work tools.
  • Available to attend nine full-day sessions (typically the 2nd Tuesday of each month, September–May) and monthly board meetings which occur year round.

Compensation

  • Contract payment of $4,500 to $6,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Expected workload of 150–200 hours annually.
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
  • This is a 1099 independent contractor position with no employee benefits.
